  1. Home Watch is best described as a visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues. Unlike a house sitter, Steven follows a documented protocol on every visit — designed to catch small problems before they become expensive ones.

  2. Weekly or bi-weekly, based on your plan and your home. Steven will recommend a cadence during your consultation.

  3. You receive a written report. If action is needed, Steven acts as your on-site advocate — coordinating trades and vendors to restore your home to normal as quickly as possible.

  4. Yes. Home Watch Solutions SWFL is bonded, fully insured, and NHWA-accredited with annual re-vetting.

  5. Yes. Emergencies — including hurricane response — are handled anytime, day or night.

  6. No. Nobody lives in or stays at your home. Steven arrives on a set schedule, walks the property against a written checklist, documents the visit, and leaves the home secured.

  7. Most seasonal homes do well on weekly visits, and bi-weekly works for newer, lower-risk properties. Humidity, irrigation, pool equipment and roof age all factor in — Steven will recommend a cadence for your home.

  8. Yes. Steven Makepeace performs every visit himself. There is no rotating crew, and you communicate directly with the person who was standing in your home.

  9. Neither. Home Watch is a visual check of the home and property for obvious issues. It is not a licensed real-estate home inspection, and it is not a replacement for alarm monitoring, security patrol or your insurance coverage.

  10. Yes. As your local key holder, Steven can provide access for scheduled contractors, deliveries and service calls, and confirm the home was left secure.

  11. Fort Myers, Cape Coral, Naples, Estero, Bonita Springs, Sanibel, Captiva, Babcock Ranch, Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte.

  12. Ideally a week or two before you travel, so Steven can walk the property with you, note shut-offs and access details, and begin visits the moment you leave.
